Will my customers know they're talking to AI?
If they ask directly, yes — Howdy will say so. We won't deceive a caller into thinking it's a human. Most callers don't ask; they just want their question answered or their appointment booked, and Howdy does that warmly and quickly.
What if Howdy can't handle the call?
We configure an escalation contact (your cell, an answering service, whatever you want). When the call needs a human, Howdy hands it off and texts you a summary of what was discussed.
Can it work with my existing phone number?
Yes. You forward your business line to the Howdyly number we provision for you — it takes about 3 minutes through your phone provider. We send a one-page PDF specific to your provider.
How fast does it answer?
Sub-second from ring to first hello. The end-to-end response time when the caller speaks averages around 500ms. It feels like a real conversation, not a chatbot.
What about call recordings and privacy?
Every call is recorded with a disclosure at the start — required by law in some states and good practice everywhere. You can change retention from 30 days to 12 months, or delete any specific call from your portal.
Will it really book on my calendar?
If you use Cal.com, yes — directly. Google Calendar via Cal.com works too. If you use a different system we can usually integrate; ask us.
What if it doesn't work for me?
If Howdy hasn't generated booked appointments worth at least 3× your monthly fee in the first 30 days, we refund everything (subscription + setup fee) and run another 30 days free while we tune it. Email support@howdyly.com to claim it.

Local services that take calls and book appointments: home services, auto repair, med spas, dental, restaurants, legal, real estate. We're not (today) a fit for high-volume call centers, regulated medical scheduling without a BAA, or telemarketing.
